Oh So Pinteresting

Marketing Your Podcast Holiday Mashup OSP 045

It’s a holiday mashup of podcasts! The hosts of the Entrepreneur Showdown podcast Dan and Joe and Jared of the Starve the Doubts podcast and I talk about marketing their podcasts using social media. (They’ve even ventured into Pinterest.)

For the past few weeks we have been mashing up and mixing up our podcasts and adding a fun holiday twist to each episode.

The first week started off with Jared Easley of the Starve the Doubts podcast as the host where we have fun with some fun Holiday discussion as well as how we as entrepreneurs over come the self doubts that often arise.

The second week was ugly Christmas sweater week and the fine gentlemen of the Entrepreneur Showdown podcast hosted. Joe and Dan like to spark up heated discussions and controversy during their show and we talked about what does being an entrepreneur REALLY mean. We also chat about podcasting as a part of our business including the heated question: Should you podcast with your spouse?

This final week of the 3 part series I wrap it all up with marketing your podcast and business.

  • How social media can be used to get the word out
  • Joe’s email approach
  • Jared’s organized method to building relationships online
  • Men on Pinterest
  • A quick critique of Jared’s Pinterest account
  • Public speaking tips
  • Our hopes for 2014
  • A big announcement for NMX in January in Las Vegas

As usual you can download and listen to the podcast or you can get the full experience by watching the video recording of the hangout below.

The Starve the Doubts and Entrepreneur Showdown podcasts are 2 of my must listen to podcast, I highly recommend you give them a listen.

We had a great time all 3 weeks recoding these episodes live on Google Hangouts. There were several people who joined in and asked questions during the recordings to add to the fun. Special thanks to the following people for joining in and making these past 3 weeks even more fun with their comments and questions.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas!
