Pinterest is well known for it’s potential to drive traffic but can it also be used to grow an audience for a podcast?
In this episode of the podcast, I chat with Chris Enns, the host of Show Me Your Mic about:
- Ways to make podcasts shareable
- What podcasting niche is utilizing Pinterest most
- Using Pinterest to connect with your target audience
- Benefits of pinning your content to Pinterest
- Growing a community with Pinterest and a podcast
- Using Pinterest for inspiration
Chris mentioned in our conversation that sometimes we get stuck in a sort of bubble, where we don’t go beyond the people who interested in the same things we are and are comfortable with. Exploring a new platform like Pinterest or a new way of communicating such as through podcasting can help us reach beyond that bubble.
One of the things that I like about both Pinterest and podcasts is that I can find find information about almost any subject. One problem I run into is that many time podcasters are so focused on the content and the quality of the audio that they don’t include a pinnable image with each episode or even for their show. This might be why I don’t yet see many podcasts shared on Pinterest.
