Tailwind for Instagram Members

Paying Tailwind for Instagram members post to Instagram 4.3x more often than those who sign up for a free trial and don’t upgrade.

Methodology: How We Compiled These Numbers

Data Compiled: September 2019 – January 2021

Sample: To compile the Tailwind for Pinterest results, we looked at all Pins Saved or Created on Pinterest in January 2021 and compared those engagement numbers to those made using Tailwind Create. We then also conducted an independent study of 160,000 Pins across 1,500 profiles for a period of 16 weeks starting in November 2020.

For the Instagram results, we compared paying versus non-paying members for a one year period, from September 2019 to September 2020.

Timescale: We then tracked all of these accounts over six months, pulling data for each of them at 2 days after signup and 6 months after signup.

Defining Paying Members: A paying Tailwind member is somebody who upgraded to a paid plan within 60 days of signing up and did not downgrade during the periods analyzed. A non-user (on the free plan) is somebody who did not upgrade to a paid plan during this period.
